We created the design for a tablet app for commercial vehicle fleet management. Because these vehicles were commercial, they wanted all the vehicle and driver details easily available to drivers, fleet managers, and administrators.

Our team provided UX expertise and tablet app design for the overall flow and architecture of the system for the different user types as well as user interface design for the app.
Client
Now named ZEVX, the startup develops battery electric power and data intelligence systems for e-mobility applications. Its systems allow clients to transition commercial fleets to electric power.
Timeline
This was a whirlwind project — we delivered the tablet app design in just an intense two weeks at the request of the client.
Challenge
Lack of visual design
Our client needed help creating an app for vehicle fleet management. They had an idea of what features needed to be included, but they didn’t have a way to communicate those ideas through design.
They also needed the interface to match the high-tech capabilities of their offerings.
Solution
Tablet app design in Figma
Our team at Standard Beagle set out to create a high-fidelity prototype that not only looked great, but also applied our knowledge of UX design to make it easy to use.
Our goals for designing this platform were:
- Determine the hierarchy of information
- Create a style guide and library of components for developers to reference
- Design a clickable prototype showcasing each user flow

Tracking feature for vehicle location
The app also features a way for fleet managers to track every vehicle and see its stats as well as driver details.
