Our client wanted to expand its set of integration solutions with an event driven architecture product that could compete with other solutions on the market. This was a B2B software research project.

How do users respond to this product idea?
We worked with another product research and design agency to provide user feedback for the event driven offering for a B2B platform. The question for the research team was how to meet users’ needs and make the new feature competitive in the event driven software market.
Solution
B2B software research to test product concepts
We conducted both qualitative research and concept validation and made several recommendations:
- Provide more assistance during the initial setup wizard.
- Make certain steps clear during a first-time build.
- Ensure users understand terminology.
- Guide users through the link between the new software and the existing platform.
Impact
Recommendations were met with enthusiasm
Concept validated
Users liked that design systems matched the main platform. They praised the simplicity that made the platform easy to get acclimated to, and how it was applied to the new screens. Users also noted the dashboard metrics were helpful to have, and liked being able to change the time range of metrics.
