Avion Park Homes is a new development in East Austin, located across from Mueller Park, that completed development in the fall of 2016.
The developer expected pre-sales to be much higher by the time the homes were ready to move-in, but they were disappointed. They decided to make changes to the marketing efforts, including the website.
Standard Beagle was approached to help showcase the development. We initially brainstormed ideas about social media marketing and other forms of community outreach, but eventually, we decided the best course of action was to redesign the website into a site that would not only illustrate the development’s beauty and quality, but also help improve SEO.
We started our design process by visiting the development. We wanted to understand the area as well as the homes so we could better understand the homeowners who would be attracted to the area. We saw how close the development was to Mueller Park, the nearby restaurants, and learned about the quality and craftsmanship that was put into Avion Park.
It wasn’t your typical community. The developers had worked closely with neighbors and the city to turn what had been a rundown set of duplexes into a vibrant community.
We didn’t want the redesign to look like every other housing site. Avion Park was special because of its materials and design, but also because of its location. East Austin is an eclectic community on the rise. We proposed using rich colors and animated interactions to draw users in.
We also felt the story behind Avion Park was an important piece of its appeal. We produced three videos with key members of the development team to show the homes and give potential buyers a more personal connection to their future home.
The site includes an interactive neighborhood map as well as an animated property map that shows which homes are available. The site owners can easily update the map as homes sell, allowing them full control of the website.
Users can also view floor plans and images from the inside of each home model, taking them inside the homes. A call to action leads users to a contact form that sends message notifications directly to the property marketing team.
We built the site to be SEO friendly, making sure to properly use headings and body text and keywords to help the site rank in search engines listings.
