In a previous post, I pointed out the differences between Sales and Marketing. In this post, I am introducing another concept that involves the two groups very intimately with Smarketing.
Not everyone knows what “Smarketing” is referring to. It might sound like an alien doing Marketing to some; however, it has become one of the most important components of a business.
Smarketing is the convergence and collaboration of the Marketing and Sales teams in an organization. The two groups should align with each other in balance from the Marketing strategy to the closing of a deal, and even in the delight phase. If the two groups work well together, a synergy of increased sales will happen. Open communication and collaboration are the foundation of this smarketing success. More on this topic to come.
