Texas A&M Rellis Campus

Designing a New Initiative

The Challenge

How might we manage complexity of a large academic system and still make the website easy to understand for prospective students?

Texas A&M’s RELLIS campus was a new initiative to bring students, companies, and faculty together in a 21st century campus focused on technology.

They needed a new website to help them students and grow admissions.

The Solution

We managed the website portion of this digital project in partnership with Belmont Icehouse.

Texas A&M’s RELLIS campus was a new initiative to bring students, companies, and faculty together in a 21st century campus focused on technology.

Belmont designed the overall branding and campaign direction for the RELLIS campus, and they turned to Standard Beagle to help guide the user experience for the RELLIS website.

Because of the large size of this project, we needed to collaborate closely with Belmont. We designed the site structure and wireframes for the website and guided the client on the recommended way to set up their site on their servers. Later, we developed the website using the content management system chosen by the client, and set up the site so that the RELLIS marketing team could easily edit every section of the website without needing help.

Results

We developed the RELLIS website to meet basic accessibility requirements and had IE9 backward compatibility in order to meet Texas guidelines.

The new site provided Texas A&M a center for recruitment efforts as the Rellis campus took shape. The website continues to offer strong content, and is estimated to have over 19,000 site visitors over 90 days.
