I’m most proud of

I’m most proud of managing the team and mentoring, especially developers. It really feels good when I’m able to share something I’ve learned and see that person absorb and benefit from that knowledge

Andy got his professional programming experience by jumping into the deep end of the pool, building XML data interchange systems between Dell and its partners by hand before there were libraries to support such things. He worked to take buggy systems which required nightly reboots to rock solid servers that handled millions of transactions a day with years of uptime.

Working on large scale systems really honed his diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. When you serve millions of pages a day, one in a million errors are are daily occurrence. Andy takes that understanding of performance, focus and maintenance into every project he works on.

Reading

One of the things that makes Andy really unique is that he reads two to three books a week. In fact, he has tracked more than 1,400 books on his library reading list since 2015. Looking for a good read?
